Step 4:

Click the Audio button to start the call.

Once the Audio button is greyed out, then the contact you are trying to call doesn’t have ‌FaceTime‌ turned on or can’t set up a ‌FaceTime‌ account.

Follow the steps to make a FaceTime Call on iPhone & iPad:

Step 1:

Initially launch the ‌FaceTime‌ app on your Mac, from your Dock or the Applications folder.

Step 2:

Input in the email address, name or number that you like to call. Once you input your Contacts list. Then search and any matching contacts will seems in a dropdown list. However, use the Down arrow on your keyboard or tap to choose the person you want to call.

Step 3:

Click the Audio button to start the call.

Once the Audio button is greyed out, then the contact you are trying to call has turned off ‌FaceTime‌ or can’t set up a ‌FaceTime‌ account.
