With your route planned in the Maps app on Mac. Tap the Share button from the toolbar or File > Share from the menu bar
You should view your other mobile devices like the iPhone and iPad in the list. Just choose one and those directions will be shared with the device instantly. Click the notification on that device and the route will open right up in the Maps app.
Send Directions via AirDrop or Messages
