Step 4:

Click the camera icon when you’re ready to capture a Live Photo. The photo will be automatically stored in your Photo Library.

Follow the steps carefully to capture live photos in FaceTime on Mac:

Step 1:

Initially, install the ‌FaceTime‌ app on your Mac, from your Dock or the Applications folder.

Step 2:

Begins a ‌FaceTime‌ call by tapping on a contact in the recent calls list. Input a contact’s name in the search bar and tapping a match, or selecting a person in your contacts list to call by tapping the Plus icon.

Step 3:

When the call connects and you can view the other person. Simply look for the camera icon, to the left side of the red button. If you don’t view the icon, the other person wants to turn on Live Photos‌, as mentioned above.

Step 4:

Tap the camera icon when you’re ready to capture a Live Photo. The photo will be automatically stored in your Photo Library.

While capturing a Live Photo during a ‌FaceTime‌ video call, don’t fret about your own image in the screen corner. This is automatically deleted from the Live Photo that’s stored in your ‌Photos‌ Library, along with any other interface elements.
