You can install the betas in two methods:

You can also install the developer beta of iPadOS 14 or iOS 14 in two ways.

At first, you can backup your device to the beta through the Finder on a Catalina-enabled Mac. As it performs a clean install that can wipe all data and settings on your device. On the other hand, you can opt for the other method that uses the Software Update mechanism to upgrade your mobile to the beta over the air without losing confidential files.

Step 1:

After using the iOS Safari browser on your iOS device. Just visit Apple’s portal for developers at then sign in using your Apple ID account.

Step 2:

Click Operating Systems at the bottom of the heading Beta Software Downloads located the display screen, then tap the Install Profile in the or iPadOS 14 Beta section or iOS 14 Beta section. However, it depends on the beta you want to install.

Step 3:

You’ll be welcomed with a message saying that the website is allowing you to install a configuration profile on your device. Then authorize this action by clicking Allow.

Step 4:

A text confirms the configuration profile has been installed. You want to visit Settings to end installing the profile but you need to tap Close to close the message.

Step 5:

Now head over to Settings → Profile Downloaded or visit Settings → General → Profile on your iOS device and click the entry iPadOS 14 Beta Software Profile or iOS 14 Beta Software Profile found at the bottom of heading Downloaded Profile. However, Apple’s configuration profile configures your device for use through developer beta. If you don’t view the configuration profile, it hasn’t installed at all or has downloaded wrongly so move ahead to step 1.

Step 6:

Then click Install located in the top-right corner to continue and input your passcodes, if asked.

Step 7:

Now you should consent to initiate the iPadOS 14 or iOS setup process. Then click the Install button located in the upper-right corner to continue. You can then confirm the action by clicking Install in the popup menu. If you have modified your mind, then just click Cancel to abort the install process.

Step 8:

At last, you should then view another dialog saying to restart your iOS device that will be needed to start the setup process. Simply click Restart if you want to restart the device quickly or Not Now if you want to manually restart at a later date.

Step 9:

When your iOS device has restarted, then head over to Settings → General → Software Update and wait a while until iPadOS 14 or iOS Developer Beta seems on the Software Update screen. If you want to begin the process, click the button Install or Download and input your passcode to continue, if asked.

Step 10:

Now your device will begin installing the pre-launch beta software, which might take some time so feel free to make yourself a bite or something. When the device has rebooted to the iPadOS 14 or iOS developer beta, you want to fill the update. Also, click Continue and input in your Apple ID password so that the beta can update your iCloud settings. Once done, press the Get Started button then you’ll back to the Home screen of the iPadOS 14 beta or iOS.
