How to Fix This app can’t open in Windows 10
Temporarily Disable Antivirus and Firewall
- Right-tap on the Antivirus Program icon from the system tray and choose Disable.
- Next, choose the time frame for which the Antivirus will remain disabled as well.
Note: Just select the smallest amount of time possible Such as 15 minutes or 30 minutes.
- When you do that, again try to open Windows Store and then check if the error resolves or not.
- Tap on Windows Key + I and then choose Control Panel.
- Next, tap on System and Security.
- Then just tap on Windows Firewall.
- Now from the left window pane tap on Turn Windows Firewall on or off.

- You have to open Notepad and copy the following text as it is:

- Now you have to tap on File > Save as from Notepad Menu.
- From Save as type drop-down choose “All Files” and then name the file as license.bat (.bat extension is very important) as well.
- Tap on Save as in order to save the file to your desired location.
- Now right-tap on the file (license.bat) and choose Run as Administrator.
- During this execution, the license service will be stopped and also the caches will be renamed.
- Now uninstall the affected apps and also then re-install them. Again check Windows Store. Then see if you guys are able to Fix This app can’t open in Windows 10.
Create new local account | This app can’t open
- You have to tap on Windows Key + I in order to open Settings and then tap on Accounts.
- Tap on Family & other people tab in the left-hand menu and click Add someone else to this PC now under Other people.
- Tap on I don’t have this person’s sign-in information in the bottom.
- Choose Add a user without a Microsoft account in the bottom as well.
- Now, you have to type the username and password for the new account and click Next.
Fix User Account Control Settings
- Tap on Windows Key + R and then type Secpol.msc and click on Enter.
- Now in Group policy editor, just make sure in order to navigate:
Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options
- From the right-hand side window find the following Policies and double tap on them in orderto change the settings accordingly:
User account control: Detect application installations and prompt for elevation: ENABLED
User account control: Run all administrators in Admin Approval Mode: ENABLED
And
User Account Control: behavior of the elevation prompt for administrators in admin approval mode: UNDEFINED
- Tap on Apply followed via OK in order to save changes.
- Tap on Windows Key + X and then choose Command Prompt (Admin) and type the following command:
- gpupdate /force
- Make sure in order to run the above command twice just to make sure and reboot your PC.
Make sure Windows Update service is running
- Tap on Windows Key + R and then type services.msc and hit Enter.
- You have to find Windows Update service and double ta on it in order to open its Properties.
- Make sure Startup type is all set to Automatic and then tap on Start if the service is not running.
- Tap on Apply followed via OK.
- Just like that, just follow the same steps for Application Identity service.
- Reboot your PC in order to save changes and see if you’re able to Fix This app can’t open in Windows 10.
Re-Register Windows Store | This app can’t open
- Now in the Windows search type Powershell and then right-click on Windows PowerShell and choose Run as administrator.
- Now type the following in the Powershell and click on enter:
Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
- Now let the above process finish and then restart your PC as well.
Manually Re-install the App using PowerShell
If everything else fails then as a last resort you guys could uninstall each of the problematic Apps. And then again re-install them manually from PowerShell window as well.
