The most advanced and powerful tablets in the Apple lineup – with an A12X Bionic processor, 1 TB of memory and a USB Type-C connector. Following the rethought MacBook Air, Apple announced a new generation of iPad Pro tablets. The key changes in the line are a frameless design, an even more powerful processor, a face ID scanner and a USB Type-C connector instead of the original Lightning. Additionally, the Apple Pencil 2 stylus was introduced, which also received several new features.

The new iPad Pro is available in two versions: with 11-inch and 12.9-inch diagonals. The screen is made by Liquid Retina technology, as in the iPhone XR, and has a resolution of 2388×1668 pixels with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The case of tablets has become thinner by 15% – now the thickness is only 5.9 mm. Dimensions significantly decreased due to thin frames, so the 11-inch iPad Pro is exactly the same size as the 10.5-inch model. In addition, Apple slightly reworked the design: the flat edges resemble the original 2010 iPad.

An even more powerful processor is the Apple A12X Bionic with the Neural Engine system, first used in iPad tablets. It consists of eight cores and has the same 7-nanometer process technology, but already includes 10 billion transistors instead of 6.9 billion in the Apple A12 Bionic. For the graphics system uses 7 cores. Apple claims the chip is 35% faster than its predecessor.

As expected, the Face ID face scanner appeared in the iPad Pro. Now the tablets are similar to the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR support Animoji and Memoji technologies with face recognition and are controlled with gestures. In addition, Apple expanded storage to 1 TB, enabled Smart HDR for the camera, and replaced Lightning with USB Type-C 3.1. Thanks to the latest iPad Pro you can use to charge your iPhone and other devices.

As for Apple Pencil 2, the new stylus automatically connects to the iPad Pro and can charge without wires. It is attached to the body of the tablet through magnets. Tapping the screen awakens iPad Pro.
