Does Intel make loud statements calling the new line of processors the best in the world, or is this all the truth? At today’s event, Intel presented a number of processors of different positioning. According to the company, the new products of the Coffee Lake Refresh series are the best solutions at the moment in their price segments. All three processors are manufactured using an improved 14-nm process technology, called 14nm ++.

Intel’s new flagship is the Core i9-9900K, which, as was said at the presentation, is also the best gaming solution in the world at the moment. The processor includes eight cores and sixteen threads, the clock frequency is from 3.6 GHz to 5.0 GHz in Turbo Boost mode. Such values were achieved through the use of solder to connect the processor lid with the crystal. TDP (thermal design power) of the Core i9-9900K, like the other new products, 95 watts. Another advantage is the third level cache volume increased to 16 MB. The official price tag on the flagship processor – $488.

Also at the presentation were presented less expensive simplified solutions in the form of Core i7-9700K and Core i5-9600K. While the first processor is equipped with 8 cores, 12 threads and 12 MB of cache memory, the second one includes only 6 cores, 8 threads and 9 MB of cache. At a frequency of 3.6 GHz, the Core i7 of the 9th generation accelerates to 4.9 GHz in Turbo Boost mode, the Core i5 frequency can be increased from 3.7 GHz to 4.6 GHz. For the Intel Core i7-9700K, the buyer will have to pay $374, for the Core i5-9600K – $262.

Another point of the event was the announcement of updates to Intel Core X and Intel Xeon. Recall the processors of these lines are the most powerful solutions for professionals. So, the new Core i9 Extreme received 18 cores and 36 threads. Its maximum clock frequency fluctuates within 4.5 GHz. By the way, the price of the processor corresponding – $ 1979. The Intel Xeon W-3175X, a narrow-profile powerful processor with 28 cores and 56 threads, will be available only in December of this year. The price of this “monster” is not reported.
