Traditionally, every week we share a fresh compilation published with applications that have recently been released on the Android platform. In this issue:
Exodus Privacy is a utility that shows the permissions of other applications installed on the device. It requires superuser rights. The program differs from analogs in the principle of its work – it does not check the permissions of games and programs but requests this information from the same site.
This eliminates the possibility that malicious users have somehow hidden or disguised the permissions of a malicious utility. Exodus Privacy shows which version of the scanned application is installed on the device, and what is checked by experts and posted on the development server.
Notifix is an application for smart notifications grouping. The maximum that Android can do with notifications is to group them by an application. But Notifix does more important: sorts records by content. For example, all advertising notifications will be in one category, messages from instant messengers will be sent to another one, and reminders from organizers and social networks in the third.
Notifix appeared recently and developers constantly modify it, taking into account the wishes and comments of users. The utility uses machine learning, so in time its work will only improve.
“Google News” is a new news service from Google, which came to replace Google Play Newsstand. It works completely on the technologies of artificial intelligence and has several interesting functions: “Synopsis” will pick up top-5 news in the last 24 hours, interesting for you;
“A glance from different sides” will show the chronology of events for specific news, answers to frequently asked questions about it, the analyst, information about the people and organizations mentioned in it. This news service from Google will be an excellent option for ordinary users who want to stay up to date with the main events (interesting to them).
Gesture Control is a small program that adds a gesture bar from the iPhone X. However, unlike the one on the Apple smartphone, the panel in this utility is completely customizable – the user can change or add gestures of interest.
You can interact with the panel not only with tapes and svaypami on it but also by dragging it – for example, dragging to the middle of the screen and holding will bring up a menu of running applications. The utility works on devices with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and newer, which definitely will please owners of old smartphones.
Material Gallery – a gallery from Google for designers of user interfaces, allowing you to share your work, view information about them (the distance between objects, their size, style, and type of elements), comment on other people’s work (highlighting certain fragments) and invite to evaluate their creations.
The application is available not only on Android but also on iOS and desktop browsers (in the form of a site). Material Gallery supports all popular image formats, video type MP4, and projects from popular on the Mac computers Sketch. This program is a kind of portfolio and a working tool that allows you to evaluate other people’s work and demonstrate their creations.
