The Pokémon of the Sinnoh region arrive

Last week, the official Pokemon GO app was updated with important additions to the game, but it has not been until now when they are starting to unfold. The enhanced augmented reality system, which has already implemented the iOS version several months ago, finally reaches Android devices. And most importantly, the fourth generation of Pokémon are also beginning to appear.

The fourth generation arrived for the first time in the saga with Pokémon Diamond and Pearl for Nintendo DS in a distant 2006. This new zone of the game had a later reinterpretation in Pokémon Platinum. Still, Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup are already adding to the Pokédex of many users, and we already know the complete list of creatures that will be available.

The new Pokémon will appear both wildly and being born in new or in incursions, although some of them will be available only in certain geographical areas as has happened on previous occasions: Chatot is only available in countries of the southern hemisphere, Carivine in some parts of United States (based on a subtropical carnivorous plant native to the east coast) or Pachirisu in Canada and Alaska.

AR+: the Augmented reality that takes into account the position

Improved augmented reality adds a new dimension to Pokémon hunting. The AR + makes wild Pokémon virtually sit on the stage in a much more realistic way. Now it will have a spatial location according to the distance we are from it, which adds an additional mechanic: if we get too close to the creature to get a better shot with the Pokeball it is possible that it will freak out and disappear, so we will have to walk stealthily.

To use the AR + we must have installed Android 7.0 or higher and install the ARCore application. Even so, the compatibility list is limited to the devices in THIS LIST.
