The Turkish division of Samsung disclosed the names of smartphones that will receive the long-awaited Android 8.0 Oreo in the latest wave of updates to this version of the operating system. As expected, the company will release a fresh “green robot” for last year’s mid-size company from the Galaxy A and Galaxy J. These Smartphones sub-flagship line with the prefix “A” got Android 8.0 Oreo in April.
Galaxy A7
If you believe the message from Samsung Turkey, in July, developers will release a beta version of Android 8.0 Oreo for the following smartphones:
- Galaxy A3 (2017)
- Galaxy A5 (2017)
- Galaxy A7 (2017)
- Galaxy J3 (SM-J330F)
- Galaxy J5 Pro
- Galaxy J7 Pro
It remains a mystery whether the beta version of the “green robot” will be available to all comers, or the company will conduct a closed test. Clearly only one thing: if Samsung is testing Android 8.0 Oreo for a specific smartphone, then it certainly will receive a stable build of this version of the operating system. As expected, last year’s flagships were the first to be upgraded to Android 8.0 Oreo, followed by Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge (the update was available in early June 2018).

If you believe the rumors, Samsung will release the upcoming flagship in the face of Galaxy Note 9 already on August 9. Most likely, the smartphone will be running a fresh version of the operating system “out of the box.”
