Remove Saved Password & Autofill Data: Android devices have a native tool to store the credentials that you use to sign in to websites. However, most phones come with Google Autofill, Samsung devices come with their own Samsung Password service for saving your passwords for use at a later time. Web browsers also available on the platform and offer to store passwords that you can sign in to a site or an app with ease the next time around.

However, if you care too much about your security, you don’t want your credentials to store on every browser and autofill service there is. Whether you’ve got a strong password that is quite easy to remember or not. That’s due to, on an instance of a security breach, an attacker will easily access all of your passwords by bypassing your master password.

How to remove saved password & Autofill data on Android

This article will help you remove passwords and also autofill data that are save on your Android device.

Remove from Google Autofill

You can also remove stored passwords from Google’s autofill service by following the instructions below.

Step 1:

At first, Open the Settings app on your Android device.

Step 2:

Now scroll down and click on System.

Step 3:

Click Language and Input.

Step 4:

Also, click on Advanced.

Step 5:

However, Under Tools, click on Autofill service.

Step 6:

Click on the cogwheel icon adjacent to Auto-fill service.

This will also load up Google’s autofill page.

Step 7:

On this page, Click Passwords.

Step 8: 

Click on the site/service you like to remove a password from.

Note: Make sure Google’s password manager app doesn’t allow you to remove all the passwords at once. However, this means you’ve to remove passwords for each of the sites individually.

You might also need to input a screen lock or your fingerprint depending on your default setting.

Step 9:

Click on Delete.

Also, Confirm the deletion by clicking Delete again.

Remove from Samsung autofill (Samsung Pass)

Follow the steps carefully to remove password form Samsung autofill:

Step 1:

At first, open the Settings app on your Samsung phone.

Step 2:

Choose Biometrics and security.

Step 3:

Under the Security section, click on Samsung Pass.

Step 4:

Inside Samsung Pass settings, Click on Delete data.

Step 5:

Also, confirm the process by clicking Delete.

Step 6: 

Input the credentials of your Samsung account and click the Enter key.

Samsung Pass data will be erased or removed from your device.

Remove from Google Chrome

Step 1:

Firstly, Open the Google Chrome app on your Android.

Click on the 3-dot icon located at the top right.

Step 1:

At first, open the Brave Browser app on your Android.

Step 2:

Click on the 3-dot icon at the top right.

Click on Settings.

Step 4:

Under the Basics section, click on Passwords.

Step 5: 

Click on a website with a saved password.

Step 6:

Also, remove or delete the stored credentials by clicking the trash icon at the top right.

That’s all! Brave has removed the password to the website you’re logging in to.

Remove from Opera

You can also remove stored passwords from Opera with the article given below.

Step 1:

At first, Open the Opera browser app on your Android device.

Step 2:

Click on the Opera icon at the bottom right.

Step 3:

Choose Settings from the pop-up menu.

Also, move down till you navigate to a section labeled Privacy/Security.

Step 6:

Click on Saved passwords.

Remove all of your passwords stored on Opera by clicking the trash icon at the top right.

Remove from Mozilla Firefox

Store passwords on Mozilla Firefox can be deleted using the following steps.

At first, Open the Mozilla Firefox browser app on your Android device.

Step 2:

Click on the 3-dot icon located at the top right.

Step 3:

Click on Settings.

Step 4:

Click on Privacy.

Step 5:

Under Logins, click on Manage logins.

Step 6: 

Click on an account you saved the password of.

Step 7:

Click on Delete all.

Confirm by clicking OK.

Firefox can no longer save the password to the website you removed.

Remove from Microsoft Edge
