The author of the popular YouTube channel JerryRigEverything tested Nokia 6.1 in tests for bending, scratching the case and heating the screen. As practice shows, the smartphone from the Finnish company has coped well with all the tests – in many respects thanks to the metal back panel and side faces.
In Nokia 6.1 is installed a protective glass Corning Gorilla Glass 3, the strength of which corresponds to the 5 level on the Mohs scale – with keys and coins in your pocket it can hardly be scratched. The case of the smartphone is made of metal, which had a positive effect on the tests for scratching and bending: the clerk’s knife could only rip off the paint, and the pressure from the fingers did not affect the gadget at all. The final test for strength was the heating of the screen with the fire of a lighter (Nokia 6.1 has a 5.5-inch display type IPS with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels). As usually happens with the screens of mobile devices, from heating a black spot appeared on the display. However, it quickly dissipated without damaging the touch panel.
