Different laptops also have different combinations to enable or disable the touchpad. Just like in my Dell laptop the combination is Fn + F3, in Lenovo, it’s Fn + F8 as well.

Check Mouse Properties
- Tap on Windows Key + I and then select Devices.

- Just switch to the last tab in the Mouse Properties window and the name of this tab relies on the manufacturer. For example, Device Settings, Synaptics, as well as ELAN as well.

- Tap on Windows Key + X and then select Device Manager.
- Now expand Mice and other pointing devices.
- Choose your Mouse device in my case it’s Dell Touchpad and click on Enter to open its Properties window.
- Then switch to the Driver tab and tap on Update Driver.
- Now choose to Browse my computer for driver software.
- Then, choose Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
- Choose PS/2 Compatible Mouse from the list and then tap on next.
- Now after the driver is installed restart your PC in order to save changes.
Set Filter Activation Time slider to 0
- Tap on Windows Key + I in order to open Settings then click Devices.
- Choose Mouse & Touchpad from the left-hand menu and tap on Additional mouse options.
- Then tap on the ClickPad tab and then click Settings.
- Now tap on Advanced and set the Filter Activation Time slider to 0.
- Just reboot your PC in order to save changes.
Make sure Windows is up to date | Mouse Freezes
- You have to tap on Windows Key + I and then select Update & Security.
- Next, tap Check for updates and make sure to install any pending updates as well.
- Now after the updates are installed reboot your PC too.
Disable Realtek HD Audio Manager
- Tap on Ctrl + Shift + Esc key together in order to open Task Manager.
- Now Switch to the Startup tab and disable the Realtek HD audio manager.
- Then reboot your PC in order to save changes.
For some strange reason, the Realtek HD Audio Manager seems to be conflicting along with Windows Mouse. And disabling it seems to Fix Windows 10 Mouse Freezes or stuck issues as well.
