How to Open Mobile Bookmarks on Chrome Desktop
- First, sign in to Chrome on your desktop. Tap on the hamburger icon, head to Settings, and sign in along with a Google or Google Apps account as well.
- On Chrome mobile, sign in along with the same Google account or Google Apps account you guys used to sign in on the desktop. Turn Sync On, and then make sure ‘Bookmarks’ are all set to sync. Selecting to sync anything else is entirely up to you guys and you can skip the rest if you feel it will only clutter your desktop installation as well.
- Return to your desktop now. Relying on how many bookmarks you have, it will actually take a few seconds for them n order to appear on the desktop. Just open the Chrome Bookmarks manager (Ctrl+Shift+O) and you will see a new folder called ‘Mobile bookmarks’ as well. All your bookmarks from your Android phone and/or iPhone will also be sorted inside this folder as well. This folder does not appear on the bookmarks bar so if you guys want to access these bookmarks, then you will have to do that from the bookmarks manager.
The bookmarks inside the ‘Mobile bookmarks’ folder can actually be moved to any other folder. However, the Mobile bookmarks’ folder itself can’t be moved as well. This is actually a limitation of Chrome itself because it needs to find the Mobile bookmarks folder in a certain place in order for it in order to sync bookmarks.
