Note: This method will only work for Windows 10 Pro, Enterprise, and Education Edition actually.

• Tap on Windows Key + R then type gpedit.msc and click Enter in order to open Group Policy Editor.
• Now navigate to the following policy:

Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Data Collection and Preview Builds

• Now make sure to choose Data Collection, and Preview Builds then in the right window pane double-tap on Allow Telemetry Policy.
• Choose Disabled under permit Telemetry Policy then tap on Apply followed via OK.
• Now reboot your PC to save changes.

Turn on CompatTelRunner.exe using Task Scheduler

• Tap on Windows Key + R then type taskschd.msc and hit Enter to open Task Scheduler
• 2. Navigate to the following path:

Task Scheduler Library > Microsoft > Windows > Application Experience

• Just make sure to choose Application Experience in the right window pane right-tap on “Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser (CompatTelRunner.exe)” and choose Disable.
• When finished, then just restart your PC to save changes.

Turn off Diagnostic Tracking service | Microsoft Compatibility Telemetry High Disk

• Tap on Windows Key + R then type services.msc and click on Enter.
• You can also Diagnostic Tracking service in the list then double-tap on it.
• Just make sure to click on Stop if the service is already running, then from the Startup type drop-down choose Automatic.
• Tap on Apply, followed via OK.

Make sure Windows is up to date

• Tap on Windows Key + I and then choose Update & Security.
