However, if the keyboard and mouse work then it’s possibly a driver problem as well. So the mouse and keyboard drivers might actually have become corrupted, outdated as well as incompatible along with your Windows. However, it’s also possible that some 3rd party software or also the driver is conflicting with mouse and keyboard drivers. That might also be causing the issue.

Fix Keyboard and Mouse Not Working in Windows 10

Boot into Safe Mode | Keyboard and Mouse

If some other driver, as well as 3rd party software, is conflicting along with Mouse and Keyboard. Then the Safe Mode will help you guys fix the issue. Just boot into Safe Mode using the above method, first power off your PC whenever Windows 10 loads. Let’s do this a couple of times in order to boot into Recovery Environment then choose Safe Mode with networking. Now see if you guys are able to use Mouse and Keyboard normally and if it works. Uninstall Keyboard drivers

  • Tap on Windows Key + R and then type devmgmt.msc and click Enter to open Device Manager

  • Now reboot your PC to save changes and Windows will automatically reinstall the drivers as well.
  • If you guys are still not able to Fix Mouse and the keyboard not working in Windows 10. Then make sure to download and install the latest drivers of the Keyboard from the manufacturer’s website as well.

Uninstall Sypnatic Software

  • You need to type control in the Windows Search and then tap on Control Panel.
  • Now tap on Uninstall a program and find Sypnatic in the list.
  • Then right-click on it and choose Uninstall.
  • Just reboot your PC and see if you guys are able to Fix Mouse and keyboard not working in Windows 10.

Disable Fast startup

  • Tap on Windows Key + R and then type control and click on Enter to open Control Panel.
  • Tap on Hardware and Sound and then click on Power Options.
  • Then from the left window pane and choose “Choose what the power buttons do.
  • Now tap on “Change settings that are currently unavailable.
  • Just uncheck “Turn on fast startup” and tap on Save changes.

Update Keyboard Drivers

  • Tap on Windows Key + R and then type “devmgmt.msc” and click on Enter to open Device Manager.
  • You expand Keyboard then right-click on Standard PS/2 Keyboard and choose Update Driver.
  • First, choose Search automatically for updated driver software and then wait for Windows to automatically install the latest driver.
  • First, just choose Search automatically for updated driver software and wait for Windows to automatically install the latest driver as well.
  • Now on the next screen tap on “Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.
  • Choose the latest drivers from the list and then tap on Next.
  • Just reboot your PC in order to save changes.

Workaround the problem

  • Tap on Windows Key + R and then type devmgmt.msc and click on Enter.
  • Now just expand Keyboard then right-tap on Standard PS/2 Keyboard and choose Update Driver.

Keyboard and Mouse

  • Choose “Browse my computer for driver software.
  • Now on the next screen, just tap on “Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.
  • You need to uncheck Show compatible hardware and choose any driver except the Standard PS/2 Keyboard.
  • Just reboot your PC to save changes and then again follow all the above steps except the above one. Since this time choose the correct driver (PS / 2 standard keyboard).
  • Now again Restart your PC and see if you are able to Fix Mouse and keyboard not working in Windows 10.

Enable Legacy USB Support in BIOS

  • You need to turn off your laptop, then turn it on and simultaneously tap on F2, DEL or F12 (depending on your manufacturer) in order to enter into BIOS setup.
  • Now navigate to Advanced via the arrow keys.
  • Head to USB Configuration and then disable USB legacy support.
  • Now exit saving changes and check if you’re able to Fix Mouse and keyboard not working in Windows 10.

System Restore | Keyboard and Mouse

Whenever your computer boots up, interrupt the power supply as well as hold the power button in order to switch off your system. Just do this a couple of times when Windows 10 is loading, in order to boot Windows in recovery mode. When the PC boots into Recovery Mode try System Restore in order to fix the issue.
