Install TWRP Recovery for Samsung Galaxy M30s. Yes, you heard it right! The all-new Samsung Galaxy M30s which the company claims to be an upgraded version of the earlier.  In our guide, we’ll root, unlock bootloader and install TWRP Recovery on Galaxy M30s SM-M307F and SM-M307DS.

Let’s come to our detailed easy steps tutorial on how to flash the latest official TWRP recovery on Samsung Galaxy M30s SM-M307F and SM-M307DS smartphone given below.

  • Charge your phone to at least 60% before flashing TWRP.
  • Install the latest Samsung USB drivers on the PC, so as to recognize your mobile when connected.

  • Enable USB debugging from your phone settings.

How to Enable USB Debugging on Galaxy M30s.

  • Backup your contacts, call logs, apps, messages, notes, etc before going ahead.

Steps to install TWRP Recovery on Galaxy M30s:

Method 1: ADB & fastboot


Step 1:
Download the ADB setup.

Step 2:

Install these on your PC.

Step 3:
Now download TWRP.img.

Step 4:

Copy this twrp.img file to the location C:\Program Files\Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder.

Step 5:

Now connect your device to PC through USB cable.

Step 6:

Open C:\Program Files\Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder, hold the Shift button and right mouse click on an empty space. You’ll see a list of options from which select Open command window here option.

Step 7:

Type the following command in the cmd window and press enter:

adb devices

When you press enter, a message saying ‘List of devices attached’ will popup. This will confirm that your M30s are successfully connected to PC.

Note: If such a thing doesn’t happen, then again install Samsung USB drivers as well as ADB drivers. If the problem still persists, refer our guide:

Step 8: Now type the following command to boot Galaxy M30s into fastboot mode.

adb reboot bootloader

Step 9:

Type the following command to check whether fastboot is functional or not.

fastboot devices

Note: Some random numbers along with the ‘List of devices attached’ message will confirm that fastboot is functional.

Step 10:

Let’s install TWRP recovery on Galaxy M30s now. For doing the same, type the below command:

fastboot flash recovery twrp.img

This will start the Samsung Galaxy M30s TWRP recovery installation process. It will finish within a few minutes.

Finally! This is how you can install TWRP recovery on Galaxy M30s using ADB and fastboot commands.

Method 2: Odin Tool

Step 1: 

Install the Odin Tool.

Step 2:

Then download TWRP recovery tar.md5.

Step 3:

Shut down Galaxy M30s and reboot it into download mode.

Step 4:

Press and hold Power button+ Volume down key simultaneously until the download mode appears.

Step 5:

Now connect your phone to PC via USB cable.

Step 6:

Open the downloaded Odin flash tool. In Odin, the ID: COM section will turn blue. Also, an Added message will appear. This will confirm that your Galaxy M30s are successfully connected to PC.

Note: If such a thing doesn’t happen, then re-install Samsung USB drivers. Or you may change USB cable and the USB port.

Step 7:

Now tick the Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time options.

Step 8:

Click the AP button and select the downloaded TWRP recovery.tar.md5 file.

Step 9:

let’s start TWRP recovery Samsung Galaxy M30s flashing process now. For doing the same, click the Start button present on Odin.

Calm down and wait until the TWRP recovery Galaxy M30s installation process completes. When it finishes, the ID: COM section will turn green with a Pass message as shown below.

Finally! You’ve successfully installed TWRP recovery on Samsung Galaxy M30s using the Odin flash tool.

Steps to Boot Galaxy M30s into TWRP recovery mode:

Step 1:

Shut down your Galaxy M30s.

Step 2:

Press and hold Volume up key + Power button simultaneously. When you see the TWRP logo, leave both the keys.

Note: If you are not able to reboot the phone into recovery, use the Reboot Recovery app from Google Play Store.
