Do you want to turn off Nvidia GeForce Experience? Once you got an Nvidia graphics card you’ve almost oftenly cards with GeForce Experience. But for some people, GeForce Experience works just well at organizing graphics drivers. Some users run into problems with it. From crashes to improper installed graphics drivers. However, if GeForce Experience can’t work for you, you might find it simpler or easier to switch it off. Don’t fret though. You can turn it off and still organize your graphics drivers manually. There are two methods to do this:\

Disabling it on startup

By default, the program starts up when your PC does. You can just disable this off without uninstalling the program completely. If you want to do this, right-tap on your taskbar and choose the Task Manager.

At the top, tap on the Start-up tab. Move until you find the Nvidia GeForce Experience entry. Choose it, then tap on turn off/disable. You’ll want to restart your PC for your modifications to take effect.

However, the program will no longer launch on start-up, so besides you manually start it, it is effectively turned off!

Uninstall the program

Turning off GeForce Experience is quite easy as uninstalling it using the “Add or Remove Programs” feature. It can only uninstall GeForce Experience. However, the graphics driver that is installed will not be erased. After uninstalling GeForce Experience you can still manually update your graphics driver by installing the driver from Nvidia’s website.

Tip: If you don’t have any issue while running GeForce Experience, you must put it on your PC, as it’s the best tool for organizing your graphics drivers.

While doing so, first hit the Windows key on your keyboard, then input “Add or Remove Programs”. However, a new window appears. About halfway down, you’ll then view another search bar.

Enter in “GeForce Experience”, and you’ll then view the entry for it. Tap on it, and a button to Uninstall will pops-up. Tap on it, follow the prompts and steps until the entire process is complete. Also, the Nvidia GeForce Experience will be gone from your machine. However, your installed drivers will remain, but you must update and install them yourself from that point on.

Tip: Only install drivers you downloaded directly from the Nvidia website, alternatively you execute the risk of installing malware and viruses on your machine. Also, you get GeForce Experience back if you like to use it again and again, then install it from the Nvidia website only!
