Turn off Automatic Downloads: When Apple launched the Audiobooks app on Apple Watch with watchOS 6. It was another best addition to the wearable. You can hear to your books on a walk, run, or while working out beside music.

But like music, books can take up space. However, you might not think that your Watch automatically installs Audiobooks when it’s charging. But this may be fine for some, it may not be okay for others. If you’re one of the “others,” we’ll display you how to stop Audiobooks from automatically downloading to your Apple Watch.

Turn off automatic downloads for Audiobooks

To disable this option on your Apple Watch, just open the Watch app on your iPhone and then follow these steps.

Step 1:

Firstly, choose the My Watch tab, click Audiobooks.

Step 2:

On the Audiobooks screen, you likely have the choice at the top enabled. These are for Reading Now and Want to Read.

Step 3:

Also, turn off the toggles and then you can manually select the audiobooks you like to download when you want to download them.

Add Audiobooks Manually

Click the Add Audiobook option under the screen. Then choose the audiobook from your library that you want. To find more books, click the link at the very bottom for Audiobook Store.

*Make sure that five hours from each book you add will be installed automatically if there is enough space.*

So when you complete a book, you should remove it. Swipe it from right to left and click Delete.

Listening to audiobooks on your Apple Watch is a dreadful way to enjoy yourself if you’re not in the mood for music or just can’t wait for that next chapter of your book. However, make sure that your storage space used for the books you really like is important.
