It’s a mute button that shuts off all audio from Discord to your device as well. It’s also the same as setting your device in order to mute and turns off all sound.
It’s a setting activated via the headphone icon through your username at the bottom of the server pane. You guys will see a microphone that you use in order to stop people from hearing your mic. The headphones stop all audio from reaching your speakers or headphones as well.
Be a Priority Speaker in Discord
The final way in order to turn Discord volume up or down is to make yourself a Priority Speaker. This isn’t technically a way to change the volume, however, is a way to make sure you are heard. You need admin permissions in order to make this work but it can be useful on occasion.
- First, just choose the server you want to be Priority Speaker for.
