Ubisoft just has announced that pre-registrations are now open for its upcoming free-to-play game Might & Magic Heroes: Era of Chaos. In this article, we are going to talk about Heroes of Might and Magic 8 – Era of Choas. Let’s begin!

Creating an experience built from the ground up for mobile, Might & Magic Heroes: Era of Chaos invites its players to build an army of iconic heroes and all units from the franchise, all recreated in a distinctive art style. Players are controlling their forces in a new tactical RPG experience to take on a variety of both single-player and multiplayer modes. That includes a campaign that takes them via the events of fan-favorite classic, Heroes of Might & Magic III. Players can also pre-register to receive an exclusive hero skin, Pirate Catherine, and a Legendary Pack when the game launches.

The trailer offers a sight of the expected gameplay for Might & Magic Heroes: Era of Chaos. However, there is not much gameplay shown, the general premise revolves around players leading huge armies into real-time ranged and siege battles. And also your troop formation plays a major role in how these battles will pan out. Much more like every other strategy game of this nature. You can expect to collect, train, and also upgrade the characters selected from a pool of 40+ troops and creatures. Both asynchronous and real-time PvP modes are gonna include, and of course, a heavy dose of nostalgia is expected.

As of October 24th, Might & Magic Heroes: Era of Chaos is gonna available in New Zealand and the Philippines for testing. Although there is no word when we can also expect the official release in the West. We also do not yet know how the title will be monetized, but from what I have seen, I have no doubt that this will be a free-to-play release chock full of in-app purchases. If you’d like to pre-register, then there are some rewards that you can earn. Like gold keys, Dragonsteel, Shadowsteel, gold, and also a player skin. It is also worth noting that these rewards you can earn up to a week after release simply you need to install the game.

While it is difficult to get excited about a new Might & Magic mobile game. I suppose it is also good to see that Ubisoft has not given up on the franchise. Even if the company is also using the brand to cash in with an Android release. Still, I can’t help but feel that this game will ruined by free-to-play mechanics. And while we still do not know how the game will be monetized, the available screenshots clearly show a stamina system and an in-game currency.

When you see these details with the fact that this will indeed be a gacha game. However, it is clear that this will be yet another title banking on nostalgia to sucker people into playing and paying as well. I suppose if that is the sort of game you enjoy to spend your time with on Android, then you may still want to pre-register for Might & Magic Heroes: Era of Chaos. So feel free to click on the Play Store widget if you’d like to receive a few in-game rewards.
