This is the case when two seemingly identical smartphones are cardinally different from within each other – the novelty is significantly refined. Experts from the publication TechInsights dismantled the recently submitted Galaxy Note 9. Despite the external resemblance to its predecessor, the novelty differs radically from the Galaxy Note 8. Engineers from Samsung have refined the weaknesses of last year’s flagship and resorted to new solutions.

Galaxy Note 9

The Galaxy Note 9 has a battery of 4,000 mAh, which is 700 mAh more battery capacity in the predecessor. Despite this, the size of the devices is almost identical – the South Korean Corporation managed to reduce the elements on the motherboard, which allowed to install a more capacious battery. As shown by the disassembly, Samsung has worked on the stylus, not only in terms of functionality but also in terms of its storage in the case – the compartment for it is now more reliable. It is equipped with a spring that minimizes the risk of damage to the electronic pen under strong pressure on its bulging part.

In the new smartphone, the charging connector is attached directly to the board, which greatly simplifies its repair. In the Galaxy Note 8 masters had to disassemble half of the smartphone to get to the USB Type-C.

One of the main features of the Galaxy Note 9 was the cooling system – while in other flagships there is a copper tube for heat dissipation, in a novelty a whole copper plate (as in laptops) is used. In other words, the Snapdragon 845 processor (or its proprietary analog) will be able to open its full potential, as the cooling system can efficiently remove the heat generated by the chipset.

Earlier, Tech-Town employees also dismantled. According to the conclusions of the specialists of this company, the novelty is made with the mind, in it, all the weak points of the predecessor are improved and the maintainability is improved.
