There are already nine competent organizations that have the right to restrict access to sites through the blocking of domains. In addition to Doctor Web, such status is held by the Central Bank, Roskomnadzor, RU-CERT, Group-IB, Kaspersky Lab, Bi. Zone, the Regional Public Center for Internet Technologies and the non-profit organization League for the Secure Internet.

According to representatives of Doctor Web, the company’s specialists identify suspicious Internet resources for user complaints. Thus, they can fight those who spread malware, viruses, unauthorized access to information systems, phishing and botnet management. Only in the past year, thanks to the efforts of these organizations, 5,108 domains were blocked. At the same time, resource administrators have a chance to fix the problem before and after blocking.

The Coordination Center does not deal with locks, but only issues a list of reasons for restricting access. This practice makes it possible to dispense with law enforcement agencies and does not translate blockages into legal proceedings.
