Then you can also manipulate this command to delete any file that you will also need to delete in any folder. You Just have a CD into that folder and then perform the del command on it.

Step 2: To TakeOwn (Take ownership command) & Delete System 32

  1. So, First of all, the cd to the C:\Windows directory using the cd command.
    cd C:\Windows
  2. You have to take ownership of the folder system32. Then all of its contents just by using the takeown command.
    takeown /F System32 /R
  3. So, Here Is the above command, /F also denotes that we are specifying the folder. Now, after that, and /R will apply the action to all of its subfolders and files. In case, if you are using this command on a single file, then you don’t need to specify /R.
  4. You have to hit enter, and then you should have taken ownership of the system32 folder and files. Delete System 32
  5. In the end, you can also pass on the del command to the file or folder you wish to delete and delete it.
    del delete/deletefile.txt
  6. Then you can also remove the whole directory using :
    rmdir delete

Step 3: To Take Ownership from the Explorer Properties Tab

Step 4: To Change Permission to Full control for your account

So, when you acquire the ownership. Then it is the best time to take full control of the files. Now you can also do this by following these steps:

  • You have to Right-click on the system 32 folders and then click on Properties.
  • Then you have to click on the Security and then click on Edit to edit the properties.
  • Tap on the Add option and then add your username into the list and hit enter.
  • In the end, you can also highlight your Username from the list. Then click on the Full Control, and then hit Apply.

In case, if you do so then you should also have full control of the files and folders. So, you can also right-click on the folder. Then delete it without any error message or prompt.
