Chinese operator revealed the names and prices of the new iPhone

The most expensive 6.5-inch model will be called the iPhone XS Plus, not XS Max, and the budget iPhone 9 – after all, the iPhone XC. The world’s largest operator, China Mobile, conducted an internal marketing presentation of a new line of Apple smartphones, which will be presented in two days. This became known from the slide with a closed event for employees who appeared in the Chinese social network Weibo. A fresh leak revealed the supposedly final names, as well as the prices of the three coming iPhone.

According to Chinese sources, in 2018 Apple will release 5.8-inch iPhone XS, 6.5-inch iPhone XS Plus and 6.1-inch iPhone XC. This information partially coincides with previous leaks (for example, with the exclusive 9to5Mac on August 30), but earlier the iPhone XC was called iPhone 9, and the most expensive in the line of iPhone XS Plus is the iPhone XS Max. Despite the fact that the name change seems logical, many media outlets still doubt the reliability of this information.

iPhone 9

In addition to the titles, the China Mobile slide disclosed the prices of the new iPhone for the Chinese market. As expected, the budget model of the iPhone XC will cost about $700 and will take the place of the current iPhone 8. For comparison: the current iPhone X is sold in China, price starts at $999.

  • iPhone XS – ($899).
  • iPhone XS Plus – ($999).
  • iPhone XC – ($699).

It is expected that the flagship iPhone XS and iPhone XS Plus will receive a new processor Apple A12, OLED-matrix, and golden colors. The more affordable iPhone XC will be equipped with an IPS screen and last year’s Apple A11 Bionic chip or even Apple A10 Fusion, as in the 6th generation iPad. Its color palette promises to be diverse thanks to the appearance of red, orange and blue colors.
