Whenever you guys change the language, the settings and buttons in Twitch will be in that chosen language. But, people can still comment and streams will still play in English as well. In other words, what you guys change is only the language displayed on the Twitch menu.

In order to do that, you will have to follow these simple steps. Just don’t worry, it only takes a few seconds. It’s really easy to access you will think how you never noticed this option before. So, without any further ado, let’s get right to it. Here is what you guys should do in order to change the Twitch language.

Steps to  Change Language on Twitch

  • The first thing you guys should do is go to Twitch. Log in along with your Twitch account. On the right side of the top menu, you will also see your profile picture. Tap on it. Now, a drop-down menu will appear. What you guys want to do is look for “Language”. It’s actually the third option from the bottom. Just choose it.
  • This is the new submenu that you guys will see. Here is also a list of all the available languages on Twitch you can select from. Choose your preferred language. The moment that you choose it, your Twitch menu will be translated to that chosen language. Such as, if you guys want the Italian language, choose “Italiano”. If for some reason you guys don’t immediately see the changes. Now just refresh Twitch. The changes will immediately appear as well.

That’s just it! Now you guys know how you can change the Twitch language on your account.

Find streams in your language

The company also has just launched Multi-Language Filters, that you can access on the Live Channels list of each and every game directory page. Now, whenever you visit, say, the Hearthstone or League of Legends portal, then you’ll find a pull-down menu on the right-hand side as well. It lists a lot of languages broadcasters use, also including American Sign Language (ASL) — selecting Español, for instance. Will show only Spanish streams without having to change the entire website’s settings. Polyglots can also pick more than one option as well.

Twitch’s Noreen McInnis says you’ll notice personal design changes different from your friends’ when you start using the filter. She didn’t elaborate on what those changes will actually be. However, they will apparently be based on how you use the feature. We’re guessing that you might find your frequent language of choice at the top of the menu (or maybe even pre-selected) the more you guys use it. You can see a short demo of the filter below, although you can try it out for yourself on Twitch right now actually.
