The share of the latest version of Android for the first time exceeded 10%. The number of devices with Android Oreo is growing rapidly.

Google has published another monthly report on the distribution of the Android operating system. This time there were no surprises. As of July, the share of all versions of the “green robot“, except for the last, was slightly reduced, Android Oreo first exceeded the 10-percent threshold.

The latest version of the mobile system from Google this month has made a significant leap. However, in general, if we lift last year’s reports for the same period of time, Nougat showed the same results. By combining Android 8.0 and 8.1, we get 12.1%, which Oreo is now on the market. The most widespread version of Android is still Nougat with a share of 30.6%, although this month it begins to give up its position.

In the opposite end, Gingerbread, Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean are still floundering. Probably very soon Google will remove from the statistics Gingerbread and Ice Cream Sandwich, currently occupying only 0.2% and 0.3% respectively.

It should be noted that the number of devices with Android Oreo on the market has recently increased very much, so in the coming months, the share of this version of the mobile system will continue to grow rapidly. In August, as we know, the release of Android P is to be held, but it will not get mass distribution until the first quarter of next year.
