Add Signature in Apple Pages: Most of the time when you want to sign a document digitally, it’s a PDF file. Also, you can use Preview on your Mac to sign those types of files. But if you are creating a document in Pages that you need to add your signature to, it’s quite easy as inserting an image.

Here’s how to add a signature in Apple Pages on Mac.

How to: Add an Existing Signature Image to Pages

These steps are for those users who already have a signature saved as an image file. Open the document where you want your signature in Pages.

Step 1:

Firstly, hover your cursor to the spot in the document where you want to insert your signature.

Step 2:

Tap the Media button in the toolbar and choose the location of your signature image. You can also select Choose to navigate to its location on your Mac.

Step 3:
Search your image, select it, and tap Insert.

Your signature image will pop right into your document. Then you can edit it using the Format button on the top right. Also, move it by selecting and dragging it, or resize is by holding a corner and dragging.

Create a Signature Image in Preview

If you don’t have a signature image saved, you can just create one using the graphics software of your choice. Or you can also use the built-in Preview app on your Mac to take an existing one or create a new one. Then, just display it, screenshot it, and save it.

Step 1:

Firstly, Open an image or document in Preview. Also, note the image or document you use has a white background.

Step 2:

Tap the Show Markup Toolbar button.

Step 3:

Tap the Sign button in the toolbar and choose an existing signature or make one by tapping Create Signature.

Step 4:

With the signature in Preview, you need to get a good, zoomed-in shot of it. Tap File > Take Screenshot > From Selection from the menu bar. (You can also use the keyboard shortcut to open the Screen Utility tool i.e Command + Shift + 5.)

Step 5:

Hover the crosshairs to take only your signature as best you can and launch.

Now you have an image of your signature that you can save and add to Pages using the steps above.
